Symposium 2019 in Review

This year’s annual Symposium was held May 15th through 17th in Alpine, California at the Viejas Casino and Resort. Our exciting event at a new location began with our traditional Welcome Reception/Member's Reunion on the pool deck at the Willows Hotel Pool Deck. We had a fun evening filled with high spirits looking forward to the days ahead. We enjoyed a luau themed evening where everyone donned their Hawaiian shirts. NHA hosted a Hawaiian buffet and a heated corn hole tournament. Thursday brought us a full day of briefs and panel discussions, which included Opening ceremonies with our Key Note Address by the air boss (via video), VADM Dean Peters, the Senior Enlisted Panel, Pers 43 Brief, and concluded with the Flight Suit Social in the exhibitor pavilion and areas. We wrapped up our shortened Symposium week on Friday with the Captains of Industry Panel, Flag Panel, and JO Call with the Air Boss. We closed out the day with the Naval Hawk Reception, sponsored by Sikosrky. Saturday brought a lovely day to host the Golf Tournament at Steele Canyon Golf Club. This Symposium was the highlight of the year with positive feedback from many that attended. Viejas proved to be a prime location for this event - at which we hope to continue hosting.
